Yes, watching erotic photography helped me curtail my unhealthy porn habit. If I ponder hard now, my imagination was always the girl, never any duo having sex. If I am absolutely precise. It's the girl which captivates me. So why should I watch a guy having a go at the girl I am liking. Porn brings so many other unwarranted things- guilt, shame and embarrassment, which erotic photography simply does not. I feel good about masturbation now.

As far as the masturbation thing goes I never understood tje guilt or shame thing. Embarrassment the times I was caught though lol.

Porn gets boring pretty quick and like I said I don't want to see some guys naked hairy arse bouncing up and down .

Erotic photography and images fire and inspire my imagination.It requires you to engage with it much like when you read a good book.

 I think there are advantages to both. I get horny over both but in different ways. In normal porn it is because of the act of sex itself. The sights and sounds of it, and admittedly I am very into the juices of it as well, if you know what I mean. Usually I get horny when watching porn quickly and I cum quickly. But with erotic photography, I get horny slower and it lasts longer. Erotic photography doesn't automatically create an arousal response - I am a photographer and nudity in art is very common, but only in some cases is it erotic. I wouldn't call erotic photography art (although it is possible and I have ideas for how to do it) but in a way I have to chose to become horny over erotic photography, whereas with porn it's automatic. At the same time though, when scrolling through Pornhub or VRPorn (quite interesting if you've never tried it by the way) I can easily disregard certain videos, but when looking through Elite Babes I need to give every thumbnail a second look. In fact, I limit myself on how much I go to the home page so I don't fill up my iPhone note with all of the models I like - it is enormous.

 I would not compare erotic photography to a good book - I wouldn't even compare erotic books to a good book 😀 (although I do have ideas based on that which I may or may not reveal in the future) - but the idea is there. As I said above erotic photography needs more engagement for me to get a response, and much of my arousal is based on the girl rather than the acts they get into (unless it's lesbian porn obviously, or any other of my favourite things). And yes, I don't get the shame. I understand being embarrassed when getting caught but luckily society seems to be moving to being more positive around self-pleasure and porn in general.

I too am not a fan of seeing the men, but I think I'll survive as long as they don't start focusing on his butt.

 This post interested me. I assume the porn habit as you described would be wanting to watch porn very frequently, a concerning amount. But now you've switched, do you look at erotic photography less than you looked at porn?

Yes, much less. And feel much better about it. Even the desire has shifted. I prefer browsing elitebabes.com or xerotica.com rather than watching porn.

Yeah, something tantalising to trigger the imagination, even just imagination alone, is better than directed and dispassionate porn vids...  though some nasty videos are good too, preferably homemade.
