I wrote something about pornography and it's usage. I was curious how do you use it and see it. Do you see porn as a healthy source for venting out or you are a skeptic like me.

A lot is written and said about consumption of porn and there is always a debate on its ethical and moral credibility, its power to delude and hypnotize the mind and its endless demonization by a certain group of people.
Generally people fall for it in early 20's and remain a faithful client of it for decades. But in early or late 30's it turns from a blissful ravishing endeavor to a shameful guilty pleasure which starts to drain on the body. Again I am not generalizing, for some porn may remain a healthy vent for sexual activity. But for the majority it digresses from that.
For me who questioned the presence and consumption of porn from a moral ethical and natural standpoint has come to find some interesting revelations from experimentations with porn over the last two years.
I think there is endless lust and sexual desires in human beings and there is no point in curbing that. Yes, there is no point of cults like No Fap or absolute abstinence from ejaculation as advocated in mantak chia text on harnessing sexual energy.
What makes most sense is to find a healthy and sustainable vent for your sexual energies which do not drain on your body mind and don't leave a trace of guilt and shame. And indulge in those practices make them part of your daily life and forget about it.
Now I see porn as a hard drug an exelerated means to an end - the pleasure. Erotic photography, audios and erotic asmr, use of sex toys as soft more cautious use of those drugs which are not hard and fast on the body.
Yes i now abstain from porn absolutely not because it's bad or morally wrong but because I would rather rely on soft drugs and cautious fun rather than sporadic bursts of semen on porn.
And you have to look into it carefully to actually find healthy vents for your sexual energies. Every single one can have different sources. Go and find them.

Certainly better for me and my over-all well being. That was the whole point of the question also. Do you guys also have prejudices about porn or is it just me?

I meant to reply to this thread, but I forgot. Sorry about that. Anyway, I do have some prejudices. For example, for official studios (particularly the American ones) I often get a sense that none of it is real and everything in it is manufactured, which ruins the effect somewhat. The opposite is true for the amateur stuff, where I generally believe it more.

Well, my prejudice is on another level altogether. I question it from the fundamental legitimacy of its consumption at all. May be its just me and it is not healthy for me in long term because I am always left with the feelings of intruding in very personal private business of two individuals (threesomes and orgies are too wild to consume on regular basis). No matter the porn is shot commercially or homemade I always feel like intruder who witnessed a very private moment. For this reason now I never download any porno at all. However, it is not true about nudart erotica. I collect and treasure my collection.

I think part of the appeal is that intimacy, or the 'dirtiness' of the more wild content. However it is understandable that it isn't for everyone.
