Visions For The Future Of The Elite Babes Forums

I think I can speak for everyone when I compliment the staff at Elite Babes for keeping the site as good as it is and consistently updating it. While it may be rough around the edges in places (which hopefully will be fixed in the upcoming major update) we are generally pleased with how the site is. The forums however are a different story. While the addition of the general subforum was a great one that has opened up a lot of possibilities, the forums overall are pretty dead. Only a handful of users are active - I'm pretty sure I'm the most active user on the site. Unfortunately a lack of users means a lack of posts, which only makes the 'dead forum' even more dead, since there is no incentive to post as there just isn't much going on.

The forums are unadvertised and exist only to those who bothered to look for it. With nobody joining, nothing can really happen. I have ideas of things I'd like to do if the forums were larger, but this just can't be reasonably done when only one or two people will actually respond to a thread. I am not in control of the site but I'd like to plead with the owners to have the forums made more visible and advertised more so that the community can truly thrive. And with that the complaining of this post is over and now we can move to the optimism...

Let's assume we're in the future and there are dozens of active members. Threads will become longer and many will stay active for a long time. Feedback will be more prominent and useful. Bug reports will come faster. Discussion threads will have more going on; threads where members exchange finds on the site will have more contributions. Community challenges like the ones I've tried to set up will become commonplace and a draw to the forums.

Obviously there will be stepping stones. A large forum will require moderators and a community manager of sorts to maintain the forums. The forum software will also need to be updated at some point - the current system is limiting (such as only one post per attachment and only one quote per post); something like XenForo would do fine. However, all of this is far off - the first step is to start advertising the forums. Then everything will happen naturally. I can run my competitions, they'll be more going on, and it'll help Elite Babes in general.
