We're hot to trot for Playmate Britt Linn, a model from small-town Wantage, New Jersey. Tall at 5'10", with a face and body to die for – not to mention a shock of an auburn-red Mohawk – it's hard to imagine Britt as anything other than a model, but only a year ago, she was wearing hospital-blue scrubs, not ready-to-wear on the runway. “I’m a certified surgical technologist,” she says. “I’ve done it all, from assisting in brain surgery to delivering babies – I’ve even held a live, beating heart in my hands.” Last September, our budding model was scouted by a big-city agency on Facebook. Contract in hand, she made her way to New York City, where sooner than later, she found herself strutting her stuff down Fifth Avenue, shutters clicking in her wake. “I’m versatile,” she says. “I’m tall, not that thin, and a little too edgy for commercial work, but I’ve done everything from high fashion to catalogue. I want to make sure I live, and discover new aspects of myself every day." One such discovery came when photographer Josh Ryan contacted Britt to test for Playmate. “I was following Josh on Instagram, and I saw that he was casting for Playmates,” she says. “I thought it was high time for a short-haired Playmate, so I left a comment, and he asked me to come in for a test shoot.” Without hesitation, she leapt at the opportunity, and made a graceful landing in the Centerfold as our Miss March 2014. "I think it's beautiful when a woman is confident in her own skin," she says. "I thought it would be cool to be slender enough for high fashion and curvy enough for Playboy." When she's not in front of the camera, this comfortable tomboy is hanging with her friends, and counts a good sense of humor, Jack Daniel's whiskey and her dog as a few of her favorite things. True to her rural roots, she’s an adept hunter, and can turn a deer to venison in no time. “Well, first you’ve got to shoot it,” she says, giggling. “Then you skin it, and thenyou can cut it. You’ve got to be really careful – if you puncture the organs, it ruins the meat – so be delicate.” Anatomy lessons aside, Britt marches to the beat of her own drum, and with her killer body and even more killer personality, she’s hard to beat as our Miss March 2014.
